VarAC Wednesday is a weekly amateur radio digital net where users check-in by sending a message via a station providing EMAIL gateway service.
Send your email every Wednesday between 0000 and 2400 your local time.
VarAC Wednesday promotes awareness and practical use of VarAC’s messaging capabilities, including peer-to-peer VMAIL, parked messages, and email gateway delivery. The weekly net enhances operator proficiency through consistent engagement and training.
Regular participation builds familiarity with VarAC’s features, improves technical readiness, and encourages routine testing of equipment and infrastructure—including email gateway nodes.
We recognize participants through awards / certificates as well as posts on social media to highlight operators who participate.
While not formally affiliated with emergency communication groups, the skills developed through VarAC Wednesday directly support groups providing emergency communications and the agencies they serve.
Please see our instructions for a full walk through. We even have a handy check-in generator!
VarAC Wednesday has no connection or relationship with the original Winlink Wednesday or any other organization who conduct Winlink testing. VarAC Wednesday uses the same message format as Winlink Wednesday. We encourage operators to participate in both weekly digital nets.
You can learn more about it on the Winlink Wednesday website.
