Superstation VIII

VarAC SUPERSTATION VIII Contest October 10th - 31st

🎃 SUPERSTATION VIII — The Halloween On‑Air Spooktacular! 👻

As the nights grow longer and the air turns crisp, VarAC operators around the world are gathering once again for a frightfully fun on‑air adventure. SUPERSTATION VIII brings a full Halloween celebration to the bands — a contest filled with eerie excitement, autumn charm, and a brand‑new lineup of collectible card packs that capture the spirit of the season.

Prepare your rigs, light your jack‑o’-lanterns, and step into the shadows… SUPERSTATION VIII rises at 0000 UTC on Saturday, October 10th and haunts the bands all the way through 2359 UTC on Saturday, October 31st.

👻 Please submit your logs by 2359 UTC on Wednesday, November 4th — before the final midnight bell tolls.

This year’s event invites operators to chase QSOs through the shadows, unlocking themed cards as they connect with fellow ghosts and goblins across the globe. Whether you’re calling CQ from a haunted shack or logging contacts beside a glowing jack‑o’-lantern, SUPERSTATION VIII promises a wickedly good time.

🧛 Card Packs for 2026:

• Classic Monsters — Dracula, Frankenstein, the Mummy, and Wolfman lurk in this pack, waiting to be claimed by brave operators.

• Urban Legends — From mysterious hitchhiker to cryptic creatures of the night, these cards bring folklore to life on your VarAC screen.

• Spooky Places — Explore an abandoned asylums, a haunted Tower, a fathomable depth, and underground graves as you collect these atmospheric locations.

• Autumn Fun — A lighter side of the season: pumpkins, falling leaves, harvest nights, cozy bonfires, and everything that makes October magical.
